Darin had a highly successful business career having founded several companies over the years. In 2004, he created the Illinois Real Estate Services, Inc. that then advanced to 15 offices throughout southern Illinois. He later started Little Valley Farms and in 2016 initiated Brandt Entertainment. Darin was involved with many organizations where he donated his time. He served on the Sandoval School Board as secretary, Sandoval PTO, trustee of Patoka UMC, was a member of the Antique Power Club, as well as the Centralia Elks. He had many interests including ballooning, amusement parks, and spending time on his farm with his pets. However, his true passion was traveling. Over the years, he took many trips with his family and those memories will be cherished forever. He firmly believed that one should “Take a vacation. You can always make money, you can’t always make memories.” Most importantly to his girls Dori and Sophie, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted father.
