Jane White, 93, of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Centralia, Illinois passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born January 30, 1924 in Centralia, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Wilhelmine (Backs) Ellison. She married James Peters in 1945, and he preceded her death in 1954. In 1959, she married William Edwin White and he also preceded her in death in July of 2000.
Jane is survived by her beloved daughter, Janis Peters Dunn and husband Richard of Fort Collins, Co.; loving grandchildren, Geoff Dunn and wife Melinda of Colorado, Douglas Smith and wife Kara of Ohio, Tracy Smith of Ohio; and precious great-grandchildren, Kayla and Carson Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Peters and William E. White; brother, Ralph Ellison; and step-daughter, Terri White.
Mrs. White retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company 1987, where she worked as Telecommunication Technician for 24 years. She was also a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Jane was a member of the Church of Christ. She graduated from Centralia Township High School in 1942.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Minister Stephen Nail and Geoff Dunn, Pulpit Minster at Meadowlark Church of Christ in Fort Collins, Co. officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia.
