Mae Ballantini, 97, of Centralia, IL passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Grand Ledge, surrounded by family. Mae was born August 20, 1919, the daughter of Samuel Thomas and Lula Ellen (Kirkwood) Crouch. She married Joseph Armond Ballantini in 1952 in Centralia, IL.

Mae is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Craig Collins and wife Shawn of Lansing, MI, Piper Garza and husband David of Countryside, IL; cherished great grandchildren, Lauren Leonard and husband Matt, of Western Springs, IL, Rick Garza and wife Courtney of Western Springs, IL, Makenzie Collins of Lansing, MI, Cameron Collins of Lansing, MI; precious great-great-grandchildren, Matthew, Macy, and Hannah Leonard of Western Springs, IL.

Mae is preceded in death by both her parents; children, Ellen Lucille Stolsky, Charlene Heath; half-sisters, Zella McKay, Sylva Ard; brothers, Clyde Crouch, Ralph Crouch, Ray Crouch.

Mae was a member ILGWU Local #405 and was the acting president 1970-1976.
She was on the Executive Board and the Grievance Committee officer at Miss Elaine’s. Mae enjoyed dancing, bowling, and sewing for friends and family. She loved visiting her children and grandchildren in Michigan, and traveling on weekend trips. She always made sure to never miss a single one of her granddaughter’s dance recitals. She will be remembered by her family as the best St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.

Celebration of life services will be held at noon Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Perry Schefelker officiating. Burial will follow. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours from 11:30 a.m. till time of service Friday at the Mausoleum Chapel.
