Glenna May Atchison, 69, of Centralia, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Fireside House of Centralia. Glenna was born May 13, 1948, the daughter of Raymond and Sue (Miller) Dodson. She married Jerry Atchison on March 23, 1979 in Centralia, IL.

Glenna is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jerry Atchison, of Centralia; caring parents, Raymond and Sue Dodson, of Centralia; devoted daughters, Valerie Atchison, of Centralia, Ginger Bahr, of Pevely, MO; precious grandchildren, Natalie Atchison, of Centralia, Nicolas Sunberg, of Centralia, Tyler Sunberg, of Centralia, Jonathan Dykstra, of Pevely, MO, Baile Dykstra, of Sandoval; cherished brothers, Mike Dodson and wife Linda, Roger Dodson and wife Donna, and Jerry Dodson.

Mrs. Atchison was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Dodson, and Terry Dodson.

Glenna was a faithful member of Greenview Christian Church. She was a devoted Mother and Grandma, always involved in Girl Scouts and PTO. She was also an active Pink Lady at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She loved rooting on her St. Louis Cardinals, and going to country concerts. Glenna treasured time traveling with Jerry especially going on cruises. Glenna retired from Gilister-Mary Lee and previously worked at the Centralia Morning Sentinel.

Celebration of life services for Glenna will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2017 at Greenview Christian Church in Centralia with Brother Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Little Grove Cemetery in Walnut Hill. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visiting hours at the church from 10:00 a.m. till time of service Monday.
