Janet Lee Taylor, 74, of Centralia, passed away November 4, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born the daughter of Ivan “Buck” and Lena Mae (Marshall) Fehringer on November 24, 1942 in Gorham, IL.

Survivors include her son Charles Rodney Taylor of Belleville; grandchildren Terrance Taylor, Nicky-Jones Taylor, Kaila Taylor (Jake Gravot), and Rodney Taylor (Shannon Hood); great-grandchildren Leighton Eberle and Lincoln Reeves; sister Mary Lou White, husband Bob of Gorham, IL and Doris Gale; and nephews Bobbie Dean White of Gorham, IL and Michael White of Murphysboro, IL.

Janet was proceeded in death by her parents and son Terry A. Taylor.

Janet was a long time employee of JcPenney and later retired from Goody’s in Centralia. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, cooking, Thomas Kinkade puzzles, and being with her family and friends. Family was everything to Janet. She had the biggest heart and her smile could light up a room. Janet was an avid Lakers fan and enjoyed talking basketball with her son, Rodney. “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you’re loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”

Celebration of life services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Seth Baltzell officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The family asks that memorial contributions in Janet’s memory be made to the Irvin Macz Funeral Home who is assisting with arrangements.
