Wilhelmine “Willi” Timmons, 96, of Centralia, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Il. Wilhelmine was born May 21, 1921, the daughter of Roy and Grace (Tinsley) Hayes in Mt. Vernon, IL. She married Hobert Timmons on September 2, 1937, in Dexter, KY, and he preceded her in death.

Wilhelmine is survived by her loving son, Dale Timmons and wife Libby of Lyndon, IL; treasured grandchildren, Kristin Inlow and husband Andy of Salem, IL, and Kallie Timmons of Lyndon, IL; precious great-grandchildren, Jalen Inlow, Andrew Inlow, and Caden Inlow; many dear nieces and nephews.

Wilhelmine spent twenty one years in Rockford, IL then moved to Centralia where she spent the rest of her life. Mrs. Timmons was a member of Demaree United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Centralia. She spent over one thousand hours graciously volunteering at Marion Hospital and Nursing Home, and was a lifetime member of the National Home for children. Wilhelmine was a natural caregiver and nurturer, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and those to whom she brought joy.

Graveside services for Wilhelmine will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia, IL, with Pastor Randy Burwell officiating. Memorial contributions will be dedicated to Centralia Manor. Arrangements are under the care of Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
