Gertie Noller, 88, of Bethalto, formerly of Centralia, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Salem Township Hospital. She was born the daughter of Loyd and Lois (Risinger) McClelland. She married William J. Noller in Centralia on April 7, 1961. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sister Virginia Robertson, husband Bill of Bethalto; sister-in-law Ellie and family; niece Vicky Bruns, husband Dave; nephews Robert Robertson, wife Sherry and Mike Patterson, wife Barb and their family; great-nieces Mandy Robertson, Kelly Bruns, Wendy Macklin and family; great-nephews Corey Schaaf, wife Cheri, Jason Bruns, wife Stephanie, and Chris Bruns; great-great-niece Amelia Bruns; and great-great-nephews Ethan Bruns, Billy Venters, wife Courtney, CJ Venters, and Hunter Venters.

In addition to her husband, Gertie was preceded in death by both of her parents, sister-in-law Evelyn Patterson, brother-in-law Robert Noller, and niece Nancy Just.

Gertie was a graduate of Sandoval High School. After high school, she worked for 11 years as a secretary for Pfeffer Motor Company and Singer Sewing and Dress Factory. She later worked for 18 years as a bookkeeper/secretary for Centralia High School. She used her gifts and talents of bookkeeping to assist the Andereck-McClelland Cemetery as their treasurer for many years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and later attended Fosterburg Baptist Church after moving to the area. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Friends and family are invited to visiting hours for Gertie 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Graveside services will follow at Andereck-McClelland Cemetery with her great-nephew, Pastor Jason Bruns officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Andereck-McClelland Cemetery Fund or the Fosterburg Baptist Church.
