Delmar “Wayne” Morris, 72, of Centralia passed Thursday, April 12, 2018, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis Mo. He was born on July 25, 1945, in Bell City, Mo, son of Delmar and Beulah (Hasty) Morris. He married Pamela Ready on May 19, 1995 in Granite City, and she survives him.

Wayne is survived by his wife Pamela Morris of Centralia; children, Mike Morris of Sandoval, Dana and husband Rob Angle of Bunker Hill, Debbie Morris of Centralia, and Sandi Soleta of Glendale , Ca; grandchildren, Brittany and Nick Corzine, Chad Cochran, Randy Baughman, Chris an Jewelia Plemmons, Rodney Toops, Chelsea Angle, Courtney and Michael English, Justin Angle, Dylan Morris, William Morris, Emily Morris, Ryan Morris, Charlie Morris, Alijah Morris, Seth Morris, Chris Lighthart, Aaron Kuebler, and Anastasia Soleta; great-grandchildren, Cayce Wayne Cochran, Axle Kenneth Corzine, and Kayden Plemmons; siblings, Barb and Bob Gillespie, Patty and Ken Morehouse, and Donald Morris; nephews, Brent Gillespie, Bobby and Crystal Gillespie, and Ted Morehouse; nieces, Amber Morris and Tiffany Morehouse.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Beulah Morris; brother, Ricky Dale Morris.

Wayne was a member of the Centralia Moose Lodge, and also coached softball. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, karaoke, gardening, and farming. Wayne owned race horses and enjoyed working on motors, and was known to be able to fix anything. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and was a proud veteran. Wayne loved to tell stories and enjoyed having a good laugh. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia, IL. Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis Mo. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
