Thomas Arthur Gott, 92, of Sandoval, passed away November 18, 2018 at Fireside nursing home in Centralia. He was born December 13, 1925 the son of Ralph and Edna Fern (Staton) Gott in Central City. He married Wilma Green and she survives in Sandoval.

In addition, to his wife, survivors include his loving daughter Sue Hohman, husband Alan of Carlyle; step-daughters Mary Sebastian, husband Randy of Wichita, Kansas, Carol Rinehart, husband Allen of Homer, IL, step-son Richard Bain, wife Beth of Tucson, Arizona; granddaughter Jessica Dehn of Central City; great-granddaughter LaNae; and sister Joann Meyer, husband Donald “Sparky” of Central City.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Thomas was a proud United States Marine Veteran, having served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446. Thomas had a gift for woodworking. He shared his talent over the years with various craft projects and working for the local Union Hall on jobs such as Long John Silvers, and St. Mary’s Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Central City with Mimi Hawkins officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Centralia VFW Post 2055 and American Legion Post 446. Memorials may be made in Thomas’ honor to the Mount Evergreen Cemetery.
