Survivors include his devoted mother, Kim Cruzen of Walnut Hill; love of his life, Kari Brashear of Centralia; bonus children, Blade and Sabre of Centralia; loving, paternal grandmother, Daphene Cruzen; and beloved, maternal grandfather, Kenneth Jones; caring uncles and aunt, John Jones, Ken “Pinky” Jones, wife Lisa, and Nita Hausmann and husband Daryl; and a host of many cousins, Jeana, Karl, Jenny, Tasha, Kelsey, Meagan, Zach, and John.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, David Cruzen; grandmother, Shirley Jones; and grandfather, Roger Cruzen.

Kirk was a 2001 graduate of Centralia High School where he played football for the Centralia Orphans. He was a hard worker and business owner of AC Pit Stop in Walnut Hill. Kirk was known as a friendly guy, never meeting a stranger and enjoying many friendships. He was a proud Chicago Cubs fan cheering them on to their every win. He had a contagious spirit of fun, serving as captain of his pool league and played on bowling leagues both as a child and an adult. Kirk also watched demo derbies and horse races in his spare time. He truly loved being a “bonus” Dad and treasured his entire family. His legacy of kindness and compassion will continue on in all the people he knew and loved.
