Jenylle Cain, 83, of Patoka passed away Wednesday March 20th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Jenylle was born January 12, 1936 in Pope Township, the daughter of Glen and Maude (Goodin) Heather. She married Charles “Bill” Cain on Jan 14, 1954 in Carlyle.

Surviving is her loving husband Bill Cain of Patoka; devoted children Wesley and Michelle Cain of Patoka, Kathy Robb and Howard of Patoka, Tammy and Russell Adams of Patoka, Julie and Brad Brasel of Shobonier; cherished grandchildren Kevin and Misty Cain, Kendell and Jerry Dehn, Howie and Lizz Robb, Cindy Ackermann, Heather and Rodney Montes, James and Angie Adams, Jason and Stacey Adams, Casey Janell and Ethan Welscher, Cody and Emily Logan, Klayton and Micah Brasel, Kelcie and Ryan Sundberg; precious great-grandchildren Shane and fiancée Nicole, Ty, Wade, Kru, Khloe, Kendra, Keegan, Lauren, Landon, Peyton, Zane, Amelia, Morgan, Bailey, Tyler, Colton, Brookelynn, Chesni, Nylah Jo, Sawyer, and Jayden; host of nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.


She was preceded in death by both of her parents, granddaughter Kelly Jo Cain, sister Bernice Heather, and brothers Butchie Heather, Gale Belcher, and Glen Heather Grandson in law Steve Ackermann.

Jenylle was the heart and soul of her family having raised her children and grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for little ones and shared her love with many children over the years. Jenylle loved to bake sweet treats and mouth-watering dishes to bring her family around her dinner table. Over the years, she had a garden that she enjoyed harvesting and sharing her produce with friends and family. Jenylle will be remembered in the area for being devoted to the Pratt Cemetery 4th of July fundraiser and co-owner of B & G Bait Shop with her brother and sister in law.


Celebration services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Brother French officiating. Burial will follow at Pratt Cemetery in rural Patoka. Friends and relatives are invited to visiting hours from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019. Memorial contributions may be made to Pratt Cemetery.
