Louise Hardin, 82, of Patoka passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. She was born on April 12, 1936 the daughter of Francis and Frances (Rayoum) Robinson in East Carondelet, IL. She married the love of her life, Marvin Hardin on September 2, 1956 in Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her devoted children, Karen E. Hardin-Tompkins of Troy, IL, Kathy Wilson, Mark of Lucedale, MS, and Teresa Hardin of Patoka, IL; cherished grandchildren, Stefanie Terry, Robert, Steven Perry Jr., Sylvia, Lt. Richard Russell USMC, Naomi, Kaitlin Bowman, Micah, Duke Wilson, Chris Hardin, Felicia, Jayme Hardin-Minton, Shane Dickerson, Amanda; 13 precious great-grandchildren; special nephews and niece, Jack Hardin Jr., and Billy Wasser, and Kim Hardin-Wasser.

Along with her husband, Marvin, Louise was preceded in death by both her parents; sister, Margie Crain; brothers, Floyd Robinson, Earl Robinson, and Ivan Robinson.

Louise lived in East St. Louis for 30 years before moving to and making her home in the peaceful town of Patoka. She had a natural talent for sewing, sharing this gift by being a seamstress. Her talent also continued on with her creations of crochet. Louise truly enjoyed time spent outdoors, gardening, riding and caring for horses, and mowing and doing yardwork. She also loved to share her love of music, especially the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Louise’s most treasured times were spent making amazing memories with her family.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Pastor David Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Pratt Cemetery in Patoka. Family and friends are welcome to a visitation time from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2019 at the funeral home in Patoka. Memorials may be made in Louise’s honor to Pratt Cemetery in lieu of flowers.
