Candace J. Galkus, 66, of Centralia passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at her home in Centralia. She was born on December 8, 1952 the daughter of William A. and Imogene (Jackson) Bruce in Chicago. She married Lawrence Galkus in Salem and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Patricia Lucarelli and husband Christopher of Frankfort; cherished grandchildren, Victoria, and Jessica; caring sisters, Christy Staith of Centralia, and Frances Sammon and husband Larry of Chicago; dearest friend, Ray Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Lawrence Galkus, Candace was preceded in death by both her parents; and brother, William L. Bruce.

Candace held many interests and talents. She loved to crochet and she was able to share her creations with appreciative family and friends. Candace truly loved to play games, be it winning on her handheld poker game or watching the Gameshow Network. She was skilled at solving puzzles and loved to read during her quiet times. Candace will be remembered as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
