Tina” Ernestine (Tellez) Paradee, 89, of Centralia passed away peacefully Monday, July 22, 2019 at Doctor’s Nursing Home in Salem. She was born on November 15, 1929 the daughter of Agustino and Conception (Tellez) Aguilar in San Antonio, TX. She married her sweetheart, Ernest “Fritz” Paradee in San Antonio, TX on March 3, 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2004.

Survivors remain to cherish good times spent together include Tina’s daughter, Theresa Eisenhour and husband Mike of Ashley and son, Steve Paradee and partner Cheryl Finley of Centralia; daughter-in-law, Ruth Paradee of Centralia; grandchildren, Tina Kretzer and husband L.D. of Hoyleton, IL, Artie McDonald and partner Angie Zgonina of Richview, IL, TJ McDonald and wife Laura of Centralia, IL, Eddie Ferrell and partner Jacqueline Harper of Nashville, IL, Cody Paradee of Mt. Vernon, IL, Lisa Paradee of Ashley, IL, and Sandy Smith and husband Jeff of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Becker and partner Adam Hall of Hoyleton, IL, Brittany Porter and husband Chase of Duquoin, IL, Alyssa Kretzer and fiancé Dayton Dalman of Nashville, IL, Bailey Braun and partner Bobby Buttrey of Nashville, TN, Logan Braun and wife Maggie of Nashville, TN, Ashlea Smith and partner Nate Brink of Lebanon, IL, Cory McDonald of Centralia, IL, Arilyn McDonald of Centralia, IL, Jayden McDonald of Centralia, IL, Abby Ferrell of Hoyleton, IL, Teddy Ferrell of Hoyleton, IL, Todd McDonald of Okawville, IL, Hadley Paradee of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Greyson Paradee of Mt. Vernon, IL; great-great-grandchildren, Alexis Kania, Jaiden Kania, Ryker Kania all of Hoyleton, IL, Easton Porter, Maverick Porter, Tucker Porter all of Duquoin, IL, Harper Brink of Lebanon, IL, and Evelynn Braun of Nashville, TN; sisters, Beatrice Vega and husband Joe of Chicago, IL, Delia Perez of Chicago, IL, Josie Vasquez and husband Jose of Mesquite, TX; many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Ernie “Fritz” Paradee, Tina was preceded in death by both her parents; son, Eddie Paradee; brothers, Raul Tellez, Tony Tellez, Loui Tellez, and Rudy Tellez; sister, Evangeline Esquivel; brother-in-law, Tony Perez; and dog, Tiny.
Mrs. Paradee was of the Catholic faith. Tina had a kind soul and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. She volunteered at Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia, where she shared her time and love as a Murray Center Grandparent. Tina’s passion for gardening brought her peace and contentment. She was an avid reader, ever grateful to find time to curl up with a good book. She was well known for her sassy personality and searching out treasures at rummage sales. Tina was an amazing cook with her family enjoying her homemade tamales, red gravy, cheese gravy and bread. Tina’s family was more than precious to her and she spent as much time with them as she could. She enjoyed laughing and making lasting memories together with the ones she loved and her beloved dog, Tiny. She especially loved hearing her grandchildren call out Grandma Tina. Her life was a gift to all her family and friends and will be honored and treasured always.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Father Dale Maxfield officiating. Inurnment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Lakeside Mausoleum. A visiting time with the family will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Tina’s honor to Murray Center Grandparents and or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
