Evelyn Lois Jasper, 98, of Centralia passed away peacefully Saturday, September 7, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was born on March 13, 1921 the daughter of William J. and Lena (Meyer) Riley in Martinez, CA. She married her sweetheart, Johnwillis Oliver Jasper on June 2, 1940 in Centralia and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1988.

Survivors that hold treasured memories of Evelyn include her daughter, Betty Jean Hawkins (Len) of Centralia; daughter-in-law, Jean Jasper of Silsbee, TX; grandchildren, Jason Jasper (Paige) of Buna, TX, Natalie Hawkins of Seattle, WA; great-granddaughter, Katie Jasper; step-great-grandchildren, Gena Hare, Jesse Smith, Brittany Pickens, and Anna Dawson; nine great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband of 47 years, Johnwillis Jasper, Evelyn was preceded in death by both her parents; son, William John Jasper; grandson, Kevin Hawkins.

Mrs. Jasper was a strong lady of faith and a member of the Pleasant View Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Hill. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary serving as past president. Evelyn was a homemaker all her life and felt it an honor to care for her family.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is honored to be assisting the family of Mrs. Jasper with arrangements. A celebration of life service was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park Monday, September 9, 2019 with Pastor David Burgess officiating. Memorials may be made in Evelyn’s honor to the Donor’s Choice and will be accepted by the funeral home.
