Karen was an inspiring lady of faith and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Sandoval. She was blessed to serve her church alongside her husband Jim, and the couple were considered part of the backbone of the church family. Karen was blessed to have the opportunity to help with the church choir, encouraging others to find joy in worshipping through music. She excitedly taught Sunday School, and Vacation Bible School over the years and tried never to miss her Ambassador Sunday School Class. Karen caught her husband Jim’s eye through the window of a school bus when he was 15 and they shared an amazing partnership from there on. Karen and Jim were co-owners of Taylor Maid Restaurant in Sandoval, which was a popular gathering spot for many happy customers. To Karen’s family’s amazement, she could always find time to host family gatherings in the midst of her many other responsibilities. Her family is ever grateful for all the memories Karen helped them create and they will carry on her example of love.
