Alec Thomas Brewster, 79, of Sandoval passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on August 27, 1940 the son of George and Leona (Wehking) Brewster in Odin.

Survivors that will remember Alec's kind smile include his caring siblings, Gary Brewster of Centralia, Elaine Woods of Sandoval, Maona Simpson and husband Richard of Sandoval, Phyllis Brewster of Odin, Sue Cunningham and husband Donald of Champaign; several precious nieces, nephews, cousins and a very good friend Brenda Fry of Sandoval. Mr. Brewster was preceded in death by both his parents, George and Leona Brewster; and three brothers, Wayne, Davies, and George.

Mr. Brewster was a proud United States Navy Veteran. After serving in the Navy, Alec became a devoted worker to B&O railroad. He also was an over the road truck driver, along with other endeavors over the years. He enjoyed researching whatever had his interest and was an avid reader. He could be found in recent years walking with his furry friend, Oscar around Sandoval, as the weather permitted. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
