Blade Eaker , 27, of Odin passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 and his family chose to give the gift of life to many others by donating Blade's organs on August 13, 2020. He was born on August 8, 1993 the son of Richard Finley & Lena (Nolan) Pursley in Centralia, IL.

Survivors that will always remember Blade's sweet smile include the love of his life, Chyenne McElyea; treasured children, Aaliyah, Cole, Blade Jr, Braxton, and Hunter; parents, Richard Finley of Centralia, Lena Pursley of Odin; dear siblings, Courtney Emmert of Odin, Libby Finley of Centralia, Hannah Finley of Centralia, Harliegh Hodges, of Mt. Vernon, Joey Hodges of Mt. Vernon; devoted aunt and uncle Jeff and Robin Simpson of Odin; grandfather, Billy Finley of Centralia; special aunts and uncles, Billy Finley, Wendy Finley, Mitchell Finley, Sierra Seeley, D.J. Seeley, Karen Irvin and husband Tim; sister-in-law, Mallory Bryan; best friends like family, Cody Tate, and MiKayla Rowcliff and Anthony Arnold; host of many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Blade was preceded in death by his by his grandparents, Robert and Peggy Nolan, Bonnie Crawford, Sue Simpson; great-grandmother Ethel Finley; twin brother, Cole Eaker; uncle, Robert Nolan; and cousin Erik Irvin.

Blade was a 2011 graduate of Odin High School where he was a proud athlete playing both basketball and baseball. His personality was one for adventure and causing havoc. Blade loved the outdoors and being helpful. Always wanting to lend a helpful hand to others when it came to repairs, especially on cars. He was certainly crafty and loved working with his hands, being blessed as a natural artist he was a self-taught tattoo artist. Blade was a true family man and knew how important being there for his nieces and nephews were. He was a devoted Dad and loved his children. Blade's energetic personality and memory will live on with the ultimate honor that was given through organ donation.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Odin with Brother Claude Howell officiating. Those in attendance will be limited to 50 people at one time and masks should be worn. Interment to follow at Peaceful Valley in Odin. A visitation time where friends and family are invited will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home in Odin on Tuesday. As well as a night prior visitation on Monday, August 17, 2020 held from 4:00P.M. till 7:00P.M. at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Odin. Memorials may be made in Blade's honor to Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Odin to help the family with funeral expenses.
