C.B. "Carl " Jones , Jr. 73, of Centralia received his heavenly reward, while surrounded by the love and care of his family, Friday, August 2, 2019 in Centralia. He was born on June 30, 1946 the son of C.B., Sr. and Mary (McCaskey) Jones in Coy, AL.

Survivors remaining to carry on precious memories of Carl include his beloved, significant other, Queen Williams of Centralia; cherished children, Aurthur Kidd of AL, Anthony Pickett and wife Yolanda of Shorewood, IL, Kyee Guyton and husband Kendall of Bollingbrook, IL, Sherman Poore and wife Carrie of Paris, IL, Roselyn Thornbor and husband Percy of Posen, IL; caring step-children, Robert Williams of Centralia, Cynthia Williams of Centralia, Jarvis Williams and wife Janet of MS, James Williams Jr. and wife Mary Ann of TN, Gorgeous Jones of Centralia, Edward Williams of Centralia, Sammy Williams of Centralia, and Samuel Jones of Centralia; 16 treasured grandchildren; 10 precious great-grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Jones and wife Michelle of AL, Fredrick Jones and wife Gloria of TX; sisters, Lena Brown of AL, Edna Sanders of AL, Helen Finkleu of AL, and Jacqueline Chambers of AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by both his parents, C.B. Sr. and Mary Jones; and daughter, Cariene Jones, and; and step-daughters, Earlean Williams and Precious Jones.

Mr. Jones was a true advocate for coming to the aid of others in their time of need. He never met a stranger and appreciated all his friendships. Carl loved to spend time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. He had an amazing, talented singing voice and was always ready to share his Blues music. Many grateful wedding parties and church services were excited to enhance their service with his musical abilities. Mr. Jones was the backbone of his family and left an example of generosity and kindness for his family to follow.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Rev. Ronald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. A visitation time will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home in Centralia.
