Claire Ann "Pat" Busscher , 88, of Sandoval passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 in a house fire. She was born on April 22, 1931 the daughter of William and Florence (Matsick) Pachura in Evanston, IL. She married her best friend, William J. Busscher on May 8, 1954 in Winnetka, IL and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her loving and devoted children, John Busscher (Jo Anna) of Iuka, IL, Terry Sloat (Ben) of Cynthiana, KY, Susie Coughlin (Kenny) of Centralia, IL, Michael Busscher of Hollister, MO, and Joseph Busscher of Odin, IL; cherished grandchildren, Brandi Hill (Tom), Adam Anderson, Cindi Batson (H.D.), Britton Dye (Derrick), Heather Hart (Chris), and Matthew Busscher; precious great-grandchildren, Hannah, Drew, and Maddilyn Hill, Brynlee, Banyon, and Arwyn Batson, Kaine, & Brianna Hart, Benjamin Dye and baby girl Dye due in November; brother, Steve Pachura; caring sisters-in-law, Jody Pachura, and Louise Steffen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband Bill Busscher, Mrs. Busscher was preceded in death by both her parents; brother, William Pachura; and sister-in-law, Josie Busscher.

Mrs. Busscher was a lady of faith and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval, where she was a lifelong member of the ladies auxiliary. She was raised in the Beckemeyer/Carlyle area and graduated from Carlyle High School class of 1950. Pat was a home health care worker for many years and would help anyone in need. Fondly known as "BooBoo" to her kids and especially her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all of their friends.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is honored to assist the family of Pat Busscher with arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 26, 2019 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval with Father Dale Maxfield officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A visitation time will be held from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. Memorials in Pat's honor may be made to the Sandoval Park Fund or Sandoval Fire Department.
