Obituary

Bishop Dale Hatcher, age 56, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado as a result of Interstitial Lung Disease. He was born November 23, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Daniel Lee and Patsy M. "Pat" (Buerk) Hatcher. Dale was survived by his wife Melisa Hatcher of Thorton, Colorado, 3 children Ryan, Craig and Christina, 2 step-children Nicholas Baracz and Jessica Border, sister Patricia Smith and husband Mickey of Centralia, Illinois, 3 brothers David Hatcher of Centralia, Illinois, George Hatcher and wife Juli of Centralia, Illinois and Terry Hatcher and wife Rhonda of Centralia, Illinois, several nieces, nephews and cousins and many friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Hatcher and Pat Hatcher and sister-in-law Loretta Hatcher. Dale was a graduate of Centralia High School in Centralia, Illinois. After graduation, he began his service for his country with the U.S. Navy in 1979 as a Turbine Mechanic on the USS Elliot and was honorably discharged in 1985. Dale enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends, drinking beer and riding his motorcycle with his friends. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family. As it was told by his family, "He was loved and respected by many and will be remembered as a kind, honorable and gentle man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was quick with a story and was always willing to lend a helping hand." Dale worked as an aviation mechanic for over 25 years, most recently, at Mountain Aviation in Broomfield, Colorado. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. Inurnment will follow in the Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions are welcomed and can be mailed to Melisa Hatcher at 11351 Clermont Drive in Thornton, Colorado 80233.
