Edith Mae Burlison, age 83, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 1:45 P.M. on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Fireside House of Centralia in Centralia, Illinois. She was born on April 21, 1933 in Dahlgren, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse William and Lula Effie (Webber) Garrison.  She married Everett Burlison and they later divorced.

Mrs. Burlison is survived by her friend and caretaker, Florence Peters of Centralia, Illinois, her family at Fireside House and nieces and nephews. She was born into a family of one brother, William R. Garrison and two sisters, Clara Bell Wollitz and Martha Main.

Mrs. Burlison was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Edna Fae Moen.

After her retirement, Mrs. Burlison was a private sitter for Eula Edwards until Mrs. Edwards' death in 1994. She was previously a nurses aide for Fireside House of Centralia for 16 years and Centralia Nursing Home for 5 years in the early 60s. She has lived in Centralia, Illinois since 1961.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Deacon John Hempen officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until the time of services at 1:00 P.M. at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
