Obituary

Edna Mae Ingram , 92, formerly of Centralia, Illinois passed away peacefully, Friday, July 17, 2020 at her daughter's home in Clinton, Illinois. She was born on February 23, 1928 the daughter of George and Vinetta (Flannigan) Smith in Denver, Colorado. She married Dwight Ingram, in Benton, Illinois and he preceded her in death.

Survivors that hold precious memories of Edna's purpose filled life include her beloved children, David Tinsley of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Diana Scoles and husband Dennis of Clinton, Illinois; 4 cherished grandchildren, Erin Jones of Florida, Sarah Villrreal of California, Jennifer Tinsley of South Carolina, and Mary Katherine Tinsley of South Carolina; 2 great-grandchildren; and caring sister, Mary Ruth McCormick of Centralia; and several special nieces, and nephews.

Along with her husband, Dwight Ingram, Mrs. Ingram was preceded in death by both her parents; 2 brothers; 5 sisters; and sons, Mark Ingram, and Billy Tinsley.

Mrs. Ingram was a faithful member of New Destiny Church of God in Centralia where she found comfort and strength in God's word. A selfless, true lady, Edna found it a joy to be a fulltime housewife, and mother to her children. She enjoyed watching westerns and doing crossword puzzles. Edna and her sister lovingly shared daily conversations and had a close bond. Edna liked to spoil her family and her granddogs, and above all, loved making wonderful memories with them. She was an inspiration to her family and led each one by example. Edna's, was a life well lived and her kindness and compassion for others will be a legacy carried on in all those she knew and loved.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Edna Ingram with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia. A visitation time will be held at noon until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home, where the amount into the building will be limited and those in attendance are encouraged to wear a mask. Memorials may be made in Edna's honor to New Destiny church of God and will be accepted at the funeral home.
