Frances Arlene Bundy, age 95, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:45 P.M. at Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, Illinois. She was born in Centralia, Illinois on June 27, 1919, the daughter of N. Elmer and Minnie (Hagarty) Petrea. She married Howard Bundy on July 18, 1939 at the Christian Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on November 8, 2009.

Mrs. Bundy is survived by her son, Michael Bundy and wife Pat of Nashville, Illinois, 5 grandchildren, Julie Boeckenstedt and husband Kevin, Jill Myers and husband Aaron, Paul Bundy and fiance' Kim Wilcox, Shelley Rowe, Jody Cordie and husband Chris, 5 great grandchildren, Ryan Boeckenstedt, Justin Boeckenstedt, Zoe Boeckenstedt, John David Myers and Easton Ryan Cordie and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband of 70 years, Mrs. Bundy was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicky Bundy, daughter-in-law, Arletta Bundy, brother, Carl Petrea and sister, Mildred Toedte.

Mrs. Bundy was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Centralia, Illinois for 72 years. She was also past president of the Junior Women's Club. She also enjoyed her Bridge Club. Mrs. Bundy liked to cook balanced meals and take total care of her husband. As it was told by her son, "She was a little sweet lady, always thoughtful and caring, who always had a smile on her face." She cherished the time she spent with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Bundy was one of the first employees hired in 1937 to work the 2 ^nd shift at the Hollywood Brands Candy Company, where she hand-wrapped the sample candy bars. She graduated with the Centralia Township High School's "Class of 1937." She has lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois until recently moving to Nashville, Illinois.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with Kevin Boeckenstedt officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois. Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Bundy's memory to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) or Vicky Bundy Memorial Scholarship c/o Herrin Education Fund and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
