Frieda
Baugh
April 29, 1928 – November 27, 2020
Frieda Salena Baugh of Centralia entered her eternal home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 27, 2020. She was born on April 29, 1928 the daughter of Samuel and Clara (O'Dell) Schaeffer in Coweta, OK. She married Joseph "Joe" Baugh at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, IL on May 18, 1952 and he precedes her in death.
Survivors that will cherish memories of Frieda's sweet smile include her beloved family, daughter, Naomi Pitchford (Alan) of Centralia; son, Paul Baugh (Donna) of Grand Tower; grandchildren, Melissa Hall (Brad Chandler) of Tn, Terry Walker (Susan) of Centralia; Jason Baugh of Springfield, Joseph Baugh of Hoyleton, Nikolas Walker of UT, Kerry Pitchford (BJ Lamb) of Centralia; 16 precious great-grandchildren, and 3 treasured great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Joe, she was preceded in death by her parents, Samual and Clara Schaeffer; sister, Vada Neabuhr; and brother, Lloyd Schaeffer.
Frieda's greatest joy was loving the Lord and being an active member of the Assembly of God Church and in her later years the 15th Street Christian Church. She was devoted to studying her Bible and theology. She was a loyal employee of Hollywood Candy Factory and Bell Telephone Company for several years while raising her children with her husband Joe. Frieda had a green thumb and always had a bountiful harvest from her garden that she would enjoy canning and sharing with her friends and family. She was a great cook and would host the family around her meals that she cooked with enthusiasm of having everyone around. Frieda loved all her family but loved her title of earning "Grandma" and "Great-Grandma" the most. Frieda leaves an amazing example of living through God's purpose that her family will find comfort in for generations to come. A celebration of life service will be held privately in Centralia with Debby Klein officiating in burial at Richview Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Frieda's honor to Alzheimer's Association.
