Obituary

Geoffery D. Stalls, 68, of Centralia passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at SSM Health ST. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. He was born on July 9, 1958, in Centralia, the son of Girland and Edna (Hicks) Stalls. He married Barbara Russ on June 26, 2006, and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2022.

Survivors that will remember Geoffery’s kind heart include his beloved family, children, Sky Carter of Everett, Washington, Dee Dee Black of Centralia, Illinois, and Cindy Lissolo and Larry of Kansas City, Kansas; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Stalls and Evelyn of Centralia; extended family members, and friends.

Along with his wife, Barbara Stalls, Geoffery was preceded in death by his parents, Girland and Edna Stalls; sisters, Joyce Harris, and Larice Stalls; and brother, Melvin Stalls.

Geoffery was a diligent worker and loyal employee of Gilster Mary Lee of Centralia. He was also a friendly face for everyone he delivered to on his UPS route. Geoffery was talented musically and he enjoyed playing bass guitar with his band mates during his younger years. He was an accomplished athlete, playing both baseball and basketball, giving his all to his team. Geoffery had a knack for fixing things and was the one to call on for help in his neighborhood. He liked to go boating and fishing with his grandkids, teaching them all his tricks for luring in a big catch. Geoffery was the Dallas Cowboys’ biggest fan and watching football was one of his favorite pastimes. If there wasn’t a good game on, he could be entertained by finding a good western to watch. Geoffery was well respected, a friend to all, a steady help in times of trouble, and a wonderful, loving family man. His legacy will continue as his friends and loved ones share stories of the impact he had on their lives.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon, Monday, September 14, 2026, with Reverend Ronald Johnson officiating at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will follow at Friedens Cemetery in Irvington. Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Geoffery’s honor to the Donor’s Choice. Online condolences and memories of Geoffery may be shared with the family by visiting maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
