Grace Ann "Gracie" Niermann, almost 3 years in age, of Centralia, Illinois, joined Jesus at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with her Mother and Father at her side. She was born on May 3, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and is the daughter of Timothy D. and Lauren M. (Cottone) Niermann.
Gracie is survived by her parents Tim and Lauren Niermann of Centralia, Illinois, brother Isaac Niermann of Centralia, Illinois, fraternal grandparents Kam and Cheri Niermann of Centralia, Illinois, maternal grandparents David and Judy Cottone of Centralia, Illinois, fraternal great grandparents Judy and Cliff Christian of Centralia, Illinois, Kent and Barbara Niermann of Centralia, Illinois, maternal great grandparents Stella and Eddie Cottone of Anna, Illinois, 6 uncles, 2 aunts, and 5 cousins.
Gracie was preceded in death by her great-great grandmother Marion Brand.
Gracie will remain loved and missed by many people. She was full of energy and would bring a smile to your face even on the roughest of days. Gracie's favorite game was Peek-A-Boo, taught to her by her daddy, and her favorite songs were "Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider". Gracie just learned how to tickle, and loved tickling mommy and daddy when nearby. She was a fighter and faced everything with a smile. Gracie loved playing with hair, especially her mommy's hair. She was very attentive to her brother Isaac and enjoyed having him near. In Gracie's almost 3 years, she brought a lifetime of joy and happiness to her family.
The Visitation for Gracie will be held at City Hope Church, 200 South Pine Street, Centralia, Illinois 62801 on Wednesday, April 24 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Gracie's Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. at City Hope Church on Thursday, April 25, with a one hour visitation prior to service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made in Gracie's honor to City Hope Missions Fund or a tribute made in honor of Gracie to http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/niermannupdate .
