Obituary

Helen Mae Baldridge passed away surrounded by the love and support of her family at the Centralia Manor on Thursday evening, July 16, 2026. She was born on May 2, 1930, the daughter of John “Landis” and Ida Mae (True) Barton. She married the love of her life, Wilbur Don Baldridge on September 10, 1948, in Centralia and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2023.

Helen is survived by her devoted family, sons, Kenneth Baldridge of Centralia, and Randy Baldridge and wife Gaye of Centralia; grandchildren, Ryan (fiancée Jessica Davie) Baldridge, Renee Baldridge (Tray Fleeman), and Melissa Siebert and husband Dennis; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Haleigh, McKaylee, Emma, and Hunter.

Along with her beloved husband Don of 74 years, Helen is preceded in death by her parents, John “Landis” and Ida Barton, sister Vivian Heitkamp and daughter-in-law Terry Baldridge.

Helen’s life was defined by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. She and her husband, Don, shared a love of traveling together through all 48 continental states and collecting memories that became stories for years to come.

Helen served faithfully as a longtime member of Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia. During her working years, Helen was employed as a sales clerk for both Sears and Goldie’s stores, where she was known for her kindness and steady presence. Outside of work, she was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Helen’s greatest joy came from her family. As the matriarch, she was the heart of every gathering hosting holidays, preparing meals, with conversation that filled the table. Time spent with her grandchildren was especially meaningful, and she cherished every moment shared with them.

Her legacy is one of love, service, and togetherness. Helen will be remembered for her generosity and her unwavering commitment to family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Pastor Anthony Sweeney officiating. Memorials may be made in Helen’s honor to the Calumet Street Christian Church or the New Horizon Christian School and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
