Henry T. Ward Jr. , 50, of Junction City passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 28, 1972, the son of Henry Sr. and Ruth (Pocrnich) Ward in Effingham.

Survivors include his father, Henry Ward Sr. and Mary of St. Elmo; children, Dallas Ward and Lacy of Centralia, Ashlynn Ward, Gavin Ward, Cohen Ward, Bailei Ward, and Chase Ward; grandchildren, Stiles, and Ellie; brothers, Shawn Ward, and Kenneth Ward; sisters, Kimberly Helms and Joe, and Melissa Ferguson and LeRoy; and several nieces and nephews.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ward; his wife Amber Ward; and his sister, Monica Ward.

Henry was an avid hunter who enjoyed many outdoor activities. He liked watching sports on television, never missing a game the Dallas Cowboys were playing as he was their biggest fan. He was a fun uncle who liked to bring a smile to his nieces and nephews. Henry absolutely adored his kids and grandkids and would do anything he could for them. Henry will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life service will be held at a future date. Henry's final resting place will be in Sandoval Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Henry's honor to the family's wishes and will be accepted for the family at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
