Obituary

Jimmie E. Bradford, 70, of Centralia, IL was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Wednesday, July 1, 2026, following a brief illness in the Odin Health Care Center. He was born on May 21, 1956, in Centralia, IL, the son of Matthew Patrick, Sr. and Helen L. (Worlds) Bradford. He married Monika (Loefflath) Wilson in 2004.

Survivors that will hold dear memories of Jimmie include his beloved family, daughters, Desirae Bradford of Carbondale, IL, and Nakota Bradford of Centralia, IL; precious grandchildren, Kingston Harris, Jeralyn Harris, and Amariyah Bradford; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Mr. Bradford was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Stephen J. Bradford, Mark D. Bradford, Sr., Matthew Patrick, Jr., Henry Spencer, Martha A. Bradford, and Rita L. McKinney.

Jimmie was a loyal employee and hard worker for General Contractors which was later bought out by Howell Paving, where he worked as a laborer He also kept everything looking pristine as a custodian for Greenview Golf Course, and the Centralia Elks Lodge. He loved to watch television, searching first for a western movie or wrestling event. Jimmie was a super proud Grandpa and supported his grandchildren with his time and his love. Jimmie was a wonderful provider for his family, a friend to all, well respected, and kind. Those that mourn his passing will be comforted by precious memories of his life lived well.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Reverend Ronald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in centralia. Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation time from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Jimmie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
