JoAnn Esther Edgington, age 78, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 12:54 A.M. on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Fireside House of Centralia in Centralia, Illinois. She was born on December 10, 1939 in Richview, Illinois, the daughter of the late Rudie Arnold and Claudine (Edwards) Beckmeyer.  She married William Stanley Edgington on July 5, 1958 in Alton, Illinois and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1991.

Mrs. Edgington is survived by her sons, Randy Eugene Edgington of Richview, Illinois and Glen Arnold "Bud" Edgington of Girard, Illinois; daughters, Victoria Lynn Mattmiller and husband Darrell G. of Centralia, Illinois, Barbara Ann Edgington of Scottville, Illinois and Jane Maude Pocklington of Alton, Illinois; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Barbara Mann and husband Gene of Richview, Illinois.

In addition to her husband of 33 years, Mrs. Edgington was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Kimberly Edgington and Brenda JoAnn Edgington.

Mrs. Edgington was a housewife and homemaker.  She lived most of her life in Centralia, Illinois.  She was looking forward to the birth of her 10th great-grandchild.
