John C. Murray, age 67, of Spring Valley passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son Clyde and Mildred (Belcher) Murray on January 16, 1952 in Marion County, IL.

Survivors to cherish memories of John are his aunts, Patty Bland, of Patoka, Frances Belcher, of Spring Valley; several cousins; extended family; and friends.

John is preceded death by his parents, Clyde and Mildred Murray.

John was a lifelong resident of Patoka, and graduated from Patoka High School. He went on to work at BCMW Workshop; and in his spare time, he enjoyed working on vehicles. His passion was truck and fast cars.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 21, 2019 at Pratt Cemetery in rural Patoka, IL with a family member Sharon Murray officiating.
