Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Connie Barry & Wayne, & Kay Ferrell & Terry; & her great-grandson, Lennox Billberry.

Joyce was dedicated for 10 faithful years to the people she helped while working for the Salvation Army in Centralia. She was a welcome face to all who came in and benefitted from the sunshine she brought into their lives. Joyce was the very picture of friendliness, never met a stranger and enjoyed sitting outside talking with her neighbors, who were like family to her. She was a cook who prided herself in her "semi-homemade" chicken and noodles, sometimes letting others think her noodles and not only her chicken broth was made from scratch. Everyone thought her meals were delicious though and no one passed up her chocolate pie. Joyce liked to listen to country music, especially her favorite songs by Alan Jackson and Randy Travis. She was known to never miss an episode of The Young and the Restless, making sure to see what those characters were up to, as Joyce had watched them all her life. Joyce truly made her house a home and she liked to decorate with the colors of the American Flag, cute bird houses and apple knick-knacks. Joyce will most be remembered for the love and support she gave her family, raising three generations of kids. She was the lady everyone could count on to help out in time of need and her generous, compassionate spirit will live on in the lives of all who loved her.
