Julie Ann Dieckmeyer, age 58, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 7:50 A.M., on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her home in Centralia, Illinois, with her loving family by her side.  She was born on December 16, 1963, in Clackamas, Oregon, the daughter of Donald Gary and Geraldine (Steams) Gray.  She married Ken Dieckmeyer on October 28, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he survives her in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to her husband of 26 years, Julie is survived by her loving family, daughter, Jasmine Cotton and husband Greg of  Centralia, Illinois; son, Robert Grant and significant other Misty Grant of Salem, Illinois; grandchildren, Trinity Mann and husband Hunter, Corthal Dodson Horn III, Lillian Ann Horn, Kylin Rex Grant, Kambry Calianna Grant, and Allison Grant; brother, Donnie Gray and wife Bernadette of Waverly, Tennessee; and sisters, Kelly Gray of California, Nonie Lagana of Joplin, Missouri, Annie Gray of California, and Vicky Ramirez of California.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Gray and Geraldine Gray; and brothers, Tracy Gray and Tom Gray.

Julie attended the Rock Church in Centralia, Illinois.  She was a great cook and baker, who always took the time to prepare a delicious meal to her family and friends.  She would get a book and wouldn't put it down until she read it all, she would always be reading and adding to her collection of books.  She truly enjoyed a game of Solitaire.  Julie was an avid collector of spoons and clocks.  She loved polar bears.  She cherished the time she spent with her grandkids, especially going to the zoo with them when the polar bears arrived there.

Julie retired on April 21, 2022, as a dietary manager at Bryan Manor in Centralia, Illinois, after providing one year of service to their residents.  She was previously employed as a cook in the dietary department at Centralia Manor in Centralia, Illinois, for six years.  She lived in Centralia, Illinois and formerly lived in Corona, California.

It was the wishes of Mrs. Julie Ann Dieckmeyer to leave this world quietly with no public visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julie's honor to Ken Dieckmeyer and may be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801.
