Kenneth James Pokojski, age 60, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 P.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon, Illinois.  He was born on November 30, 1956 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Charles and Beverly (Henderson) Pokojski.

Mr. Pokojski is survived by his two sons, Joshua Pokojski of Centralia, Illinois and Jesse Pokojski and wife Nikki of Centralia, Illinois, five grandchildren, two brothers, Eddie Pokojski and wife Barbara of Georgia and Gary Pokojski of Centralia, Illinois and many other surviving relatives.

Mr. Pokojski was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Angela Pokojski.

Mr. Pokojski was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country from 1976 to 1980.  He liked to ride horses and live the mountain man life-style when he lived in Wyoming.  He always wanted to move back west to live in the mountains.  He was an artist who enjoyed drawing and painting skull art.  He also liked to build models and collect die casts of older cars.  He loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He was especially close to the Pokojski side of his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Mr. Pokojski was employed with Texaco Oil Company in Wyoming.  He lived in Centralia, Illinois for most of his life and previously lived in Wyoming and California.
