Kenneth David “Kenny” Adams, 62, of Patoka passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born on March 6, 1964, in Centralia, the son of David and Jane (Edwards) Adams.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Adams of Patoka; his children, Kyle D. Adams of Patoka, and Katie Adams of Centralia; grandchildren, Paisley Ella, Zoey Lynn, Maverick Lee, and Lucas David; brother, Mark Adams of Vandalia; his dog, Hank; and extended family and friends.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, David Adams.
Kenny was the guy you could always count on. He was an icon in his hometown of Patoka and loved by everyone who ever knew him. He was crafty, building many flagpoles that could be seen with the flag flying all around Patoka. Kenny enjoyed the thrill of the hunt every deer season. He was a true social butterfly, talking easily with friends, family and strangers alike. He appreciated his loyal companion and best friend, his dog, Hank. Kenny liked to work on demo cars and was a strong competitor in demo derbies. Kenny loved most of all spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow and making sure they each knew how much they were loved each day. Kenny will be deeply missed, and his legacy of strength, loyalty, and friendliness will live on in the hearts of all his friends and family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka with Pastor Sam Hester officiating.
