Obituary

Martha A. Stoffe l, 83, of Patoka passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. She was born on February 20, 1939, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby (Nunnery) Hooten in Camden, Tennessee. She married Russell Stoffel on June 3, 1955, in East St. Louis, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1996.

Survivors include her beloved family, children, Jerry Stoffel of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffery Stoffel of St. Louis, Missouri, Betty Haley of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rebecca (Duane) Veal of St. Louis, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother Jerry (Pam) Hooten of Alabama; sister Brenda Weymouth of Smithton, Illinois

Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Russell Stoffel; daughter Sheila Plemons; son Russell Anthony Stoffel; grandsons Torrey Stoffel-Gray USMC, and Adam Crain.

Martha was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved to search for treasures while shopping at thrift stores and enjoyed a good game of bingo. Martha was dearly loved by her family and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at Pratt Cemetery in rural Patoka. Memorials may be made in Martha's honor to the Family's Wishes.
