Mary Kathryn Bruns , 80, of Smithton, formerly of Sandoval went to meet the Lord on Saturday January 25, 2020. She was born on May 17, 1939 the daughter of William and Theresa (Guerini) Hall in Sandoval.

Mary is survived by her children, Tony Zeigler of Smithton, IL, and Cyndi Leffner (Patrick) of Walworth, WI; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, and Nickolai; brother, Bill Hall (Mary Ellen) of Sandoval, IL; sisters, Linda McGibany of Odin, IL, and Janalyn Winkler of Centralia, IL; special aunt, Frances Schneirder of Carlyle, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by both her parents, William and Theresa Hall; sisters, JoAnn Ballue, Charlene Bosler, and Frances Moore; numerous aunts, and uncles; and several brothers-in-law.

Mary graduated from Sandoval High School in 1957. She was first married to Phil Zeigler and 2 children were born to this union, Tony, and Cyndi. They later divorced and Mary married Lorraine Bruns. Both spouses preceded Mary in death.

Mary was an Insurance Broker for 30 years and worked at Famous-Barr for several years. She enjoyed going dancing, watching movies, canning vegetables from her garden and attending Italian cultural events. Mary was well versed and greatly appreciated books and reading, taking business classes, and attending personal development seminars. Mary especially enjoyed her time with family and friends.

A visitation time will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Sandoval. Memorials may be made to the family's choice and will be accepted at Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval.
