Murl Ray Thompson , 75, formerly of Bellevue and Baden, PA, passed away with his wife, Susan and good friend, Gary Murphy at his side on Saturday, December 10, 2019, at Brighton Wellness Center and Rehab, after a long battle with dementia.

In addition to his wife, Susan E. Rossi Thompson he leaves two daughters, Janice, and Tammy; two grandchildren, Justine, and Garrett; two brothers, James Ross and wife Wilma of Decatur, IL, and Larry and wife DeAnne of Patoka, IL; sister Sherry Wadkins of Alma, IL; The Rossi family, Sheila (late Tom) (Holly) and their extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Evelyn Thompson; sister, Brenda Keeling; and brother, Terry Thompson.

Murl retired from the Boro of Bellevue and was well known for his sense of humor and antics.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka is assisting the family of Murl Thompson with arrangements. There will be a graveside ceremony on June 9, 2020 at 12 noon. Interment at Patoka City Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery in Patoka. Covid precautions will be observed.
