Patricia Ann "Pat" Pawlisa, age 82, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 11:58 P.M., on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on September 25, 1939, in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence and Maxine (Hiltibidal) Nelms.  She married Thomas L. "Tom" Pawlisa in Mount Vernon, Illinois, and he survives her in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, Pat is survived by her loving family, daughter, Misti Pawlisa of Centralia, Illinois; sister, Tonia Schofield and husband Jay of Greensburg, Indiana; and brother, Scott Woodward of Newbern, Tennessee.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Nelms and Maxine Nelms; and sister, Vicki Bowen.

Pat was vice president of Engineered Fluid, Inc. in Centralia, Illinois, at the time of her retirement, and she provided 30 plus years of service to them.  She graduated with Centralia Township High School's "Class of 1957."  She has lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois.

It was the wishes of Mrs. Patricia Ann "Pat" Pawlisa to leave this world quietly with no public visitation.  A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Central City, Illinois, with Mr. John Shaw officiating.  Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Friday. Inurnment will follow in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Central City, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat's honor to Centralia Humane Society in Centralia, Illinois, and may be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home at 134 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801.
