Pastor Raymond Presley Faulkner, age 82, of Vernon, Illinois went to be with his Lord
at 8:45 am on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at his home in Vernon, Illinois.

He born on February 7, 1930 in Lexington, Tennessee, the son of Jimmy Deen and Irene (Chalk)
Faulkner. He first married Jewell Maris and she preceded him in death in October of 1994. Pastor
Faulkner then married Mollie Annette (Bounds) Lout on December 28, 1994 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and she passed away on May 14, 2013.

Pastor Faulkner is survived by one son, Dennis Faulkner of the Philippines; two daughters, Patsy Cork and husband Randall of Paducah, Kentucky, and Karen Faulkner of West Memphis, Tennessee; two stepsons, Robby Lout of Independence, Louisiana, and Jodie Lout and wife Rebecca of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; two stepdaughters, Angela Lout Martin and husband Reverend Gary of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Priscilla Lout Kandel and husband Jeff of Vernon, Illinois; numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; six brothers; and three sisters.

In addition to his wives, Pastor Faulkner was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Pastor Faulkner was the Pastor of the Apostolic Churcho of Vernon for 30 years and had been in the ministry for 50 years.  He preached in all 50 states and was known as a "Worldwide Evangelist".  He was formerly a metallurgist with NASA and helped design the perpetual magnetic motor for the space shuttle. Pastor Faulkner enjoyed tending to his 1-acre garden. He also enjoyed his carpentry, woodworking and restoring woodwork to its natural finish. He loved the time he spent with his family and church family. He was a long time resident of Vernon, Illinois.

A Going Home Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the House of Hope Apostolic Church of Patoka, Illinois, with Reverend Gary Martin officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made in Pastor Faulkner's honor to the Apostolic Church of Vernon in Vernon, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen~Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois. Online condolences of sympathy may be left for Pastor Faulkner's family at moranfuneralhome@att.net.
