Robert Dean "Bob" Miller, age 86, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 3:15 A.M. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Centralia Manor in Centralia, Illinois with his family at his side. He was born on August 14, 1928 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Roy and Nola (Corners) Miller. He married Margaret Meagher on March 25, 1960 in Centralia, Illinois and she survives in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his son, Tim Miller and wife Melissa of Centralia, Illinois, granddaughter, Maddisson Haslett of Centralia, Illinois, cousin Betty Corners of Centralia, Illinois and very special and dear friends, Debbie Young, Michael Young and Joel Young of Centralia, Illinois.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Miller was a member of Calumet Street Christian Church. He was a Gunner's Mate Third Class in the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict from August 23, 1950 until June 3, 1954. He loved to tend his garden and to go fishing. He enjoyed model railroading and racing, especially NASCAR.

Mr. Miller retired in 1986 as a material handler with Illinois Central Railroad after 40 years of service. He has lived his whole life in Centralia, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois with John Willis officiating. Private family interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Miller's memory to the charity of donor's choice and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
