Rosalie May Slusher , 70, of Carlinville, formerly of Centralia passed away peacefully with her loving daughter at her side, Friday, December 27, 2019 in Carlinville. She was born on February 26, 1949 the daughter of Ray and Ruby (Boatright) Hilton in Centralia. She married Ronald Slusher on October 31, 1986 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2006.
Survivors include her beloved daughter, Lisa Cousett and fiancé Chris Flamer of Carlinville; 4 precious grandchildren, Porsha, Paris, Christopher, and Tre'von; caring sister, Diana Hawley and husband Bill of Odin; kind brothers, James "Butch" Hilton and wife Shelly of Sandoval, and Randy Hilton of Central City; several special nieces, and nephews.
Along with her husband of 20 years, Ronald Slusher, Rosalie was preceded in death by both her parents; and brother, Jerry Hilton.
Mrs. Slusher was a loyal employee of Hollywood Candy Company in Centralia for 25 years. Rosalie had a passion for music and loved to do a twirl around the dance floor. She was known to be surrounded with positive energy, and her infectious laugh would brighten any room. Rosalie had a quick wit and an awesome sense of humor. Family and friends that spent time with Rosalie would always take away treasured memories of a good time. Her energetic, and fun spirit will be carried on in all those she knew and loved.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Chaplain Joannie Naraghi officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visitation time from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the funeral home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Rosalie's honor to the Family's Wishes.
