Ruth Ann Orrell , 81, of Woodlawn passed away Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born on March 7, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Maudine (Knutt) Orrell in Boulder. She married Charles Fields, Sr. and two sons was born of this union. They later divorced.

Survivors include her devoted family, son Mike R. Fields of Woodlawn; grandchildren Danny Fields, Jessica Heard, Robert Fields, Dusty Liles, and Courtney Stevens; 11 great-grandchildren; Edward Orrell and wife Janet; sisters Maedean Shepard and husband Bob, Violet Cummins and husband John, and Donna Kratzer.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her son Charles Fields, Jr.; brothers Sherman Orrell, and David Orrell.

Ruth Ann was intentional about giving her best effort and providing for her family. She was a loyal employee at many factories in Centralia over the years, making lasting friendships at Hollywood Candy Factory, Rockwell, and Littlefuse. Ruth Ann later moved to Florida where she shared her nurturing and caregiving nature, while offering nanny services to grateful families. She had a special gift for caring for children and helping them grow that brought her much joy and the kids just loved her. Ruth Ann had a creative side and like to spend time crafting, making diamond pictures. She was an amazing cook and could whip up a delicious dinner with ease. Ruth Ann was a beauty inside and out, a selfless giver, and a wonderful role model to everyone that knew her.
