Sharon Jeanine Vest, age 84, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 2:29 P.M. on Monday, September 5, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on September 18, 1931 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Dwight and Hazel (Holloway) Sanders.  She married Nolan L. Vest on July 25, 1958 in Orchardville, Illinois and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1984.

Mrs. Vest is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Stock) DeCloedt and husband Dave of San Jose, California, sons, Larry Stock and wife  Paula of Stockton, California, Terry Stock and wife Mary Beth of Cuero, Texas and Douglas Wade Vest of Centralia, Illinois, seven grandchildren, Paul DeCloedt and wife Maria of Millbrae, California, Michelle Stewart and husband Richard of Paradise, California, Julia Blankenship and husband Jeff of Hollister, California, Summer Stock and Kristen Stock, both of  Cuero, Texas, Brody Vest and wife Chelsey Lynn of Iuka, Illinois and Marissa Erin Vest of Fairhope , Pennsylvania, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, long-time friend Kenny Parks of Centralia, Illinois, two sisters-in-law, Coleen Sanders of Centralia, Illinois and Sharon Sharp and husband Donald of Xenia, Illinois and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Vest of Orchardville, Illinois.

In addition to her husband of 25 years, Mrs. Vest was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gregory Lynn Vest and brother, June Sanders.

Mrs. Vest was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois.  She enjoyed dancing, watching game shows on her t.v., visiting casinos and doing her crafts, especially knitting and crocheting.  She liked sitting out in front of her house and watching people going on by her.  She loved traveling to places, such as Florida and California.  She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Vest was a housewife and homemaker.  After her husband's passing, she was employed in the school cafeteria as a part-time cook at Trinity Lutheran School in Centralia, Illinois and North Wamac School in Wamac, Illinois for 5 years.  She lived in Centralia, Illinois since 1972 and formerly lived in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
