Stanley Paul Jones, age 65, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 P.M. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his home in Centralia, Illinois with his family by his side.  He was born on July 15, 1950 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of June Sylvester "J.S." and Betty Jean (Bounds) Jones.  He married Mary Alice Redeker on November 23, 1972 at St. John Lutheran Church in New Minden, Illinois and she still survives him in Centralia, Illinois.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, Mr. Jones is survived by his son; Joshua Jones of Centralia, Illinois, daughter; Brittany Jones of Centralia, Illinois, brother; George Jones and wife Terri of Centralia, Illinois, sisters; Cindy Wade of Springfield, Missouri and Elizabeth "Beth" Roberts and husband Al of Harrisburg, Illinois, brothers-in-law; Howard Redeker and wife Janet of Kinmundy, Illinois and Henry Redeker and wife Cathy of Irvington, Illinois, mother-in-law; Alvira Redeker of New Minden, Illinois, sisters-in-law; Doris Meadows and husband Cliff of Centralia, Illinois and Rosalie Rice and husband Alan of Cadiz, Kentucky and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law; Wilbert Redeker.

Mr. Jones attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois with his wife for the last 20 years.  He enjoyed the outdoors especially deer hunting and boating.  He was an avid fisherman who used the blooms of the Dogwood tree in front of his house to mark the beginning of the crappie season.  He co-founded the Centralia High School Bass Angler's Club in 2012.  He cherished the time he spent with his family as this was very important to him.

Mr. Jones was a custodian at New Horizon Christian School from 2007 to 2012.  He previously was employed as a service mechanic with Alcan Packaging (formerly Wheaton Plastics) in Centralia, Illinois, where he retired in 2006 after 34 years of service.  He lived his whole life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Mark Girardin and Pastor Perry Schefelker officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in New Minden, Illinois.  Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.
