Tresa Louise Langenfeld, age 94, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 3:10 P.M. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Fireside House in Centralia, Illinois.  She was born on June 3, 1924 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of the late Peter and Dora E. (Brown) Langenfeld.

Ms. Langenfeld is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Langenfeld was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine L. "Kate" Langenfeld, Margaret Holle and Virginia Brink and brothers, Cecil Langenfeld, Cliff Langenfeld, John Langenfeld, Ed Langenfeld, Harold Langenfeld and Robert Langenfeld.

Ms. Langenfeld was a life-long member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois, where she was a member of the Altar Sodality and choir.  She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.  She purchased an organ and took great pleasure in learning how to play it.  Ms. Langenfeld enjoyed quilting and greatly enjoyed tending to her garden.  She loved to sew and over the years made many beautiful handmade items and quilts to be passed onto her nieces and nephews.  She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially traveling with her sister Kate to Germany and the Vatican.

Ms. Langenfeld retired in 1989 from the lab department of Hollywood Brand Candy Company in Centralia, Illinois after 40 years of service.  She has lived her whole life in Centralia, Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ms. Tresa Louise Langenfeld will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 27, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois with Father Dale Maxfield officiating.  Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Centralia, Illinois.  Friends may visit with Ms. Langenfeld's family from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 27, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Centralia, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Langenfeld's honor to the St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic School and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Ms. Langenfeld's family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on the funeral home's Facebook page.
