Vicky Arlene Bundy, 59, of Herrin, formerly of Centralia, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Marion County as the result of an automobile accident.
She was born in Centralia, the daughter of Howard and Frances (Petrea) Bundy.
Ms. Bundy is survived by her mother Frances Bundy of Centralia, Illinois, two daughters Shelley Rowe of Herrin, Illinois and Jody Cordie and husband Chris of Belleville, Illinois on brother Michael Bundy and wife Pat of Nashville, Illinois and her nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister-in-law, Arlette Bundy.
Ms. Bundy was a member of the Grand Avenue Christian Church in Carbondale, Illinois and the church's Joy Group. Vicky was a Godly woman and lead by example. She believed in making every moment count in her life. She made sure to make everyone feel that they were loved. She enjoyed spending her spare time with her family especially her daughters and mother. she showed her special love for her daughters by leaving them "sweet notes".
Ms. Bundy taught the 4th grade at the Herrin Elementary School for 13 years. She previously taught the 4th Grade at the Crestwood Elementary School in Paris, Illinois. She loved her students as much as she loved her own family.
Celebration of Life Services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the First Christian Church 205 South Elm Street in Centralia, Illinois with Mr. Jon Hughes officiating.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M.. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Bundy's honor to the Joy Group or the Vicky Bundy Memorial Scholarship Fund at Herrin Elementary School, and will be received by the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia.
