Obituary

Viola Betty Sisson, age 87, of Centralia, Illinois, passed away at 6:56 A.M. on Friday, October 9. 2015, at Odin Healthcare Center in Odin, Illinois.  She was born on October 14, 1927 in Centralia, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Ida (Faudree) Sisson.

Ms. Sisson is survived by her sister, Ruby Sisson of Centralia, Illinois and brother-in-law, Owen Decker of Centralia, Illinois.

Ms. Sisson was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harold Sisson, sisters, Arline Decker and Faye L. Sisson and niece, Janice K. "Jan" Decker.

Ms. Sisson was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Centralia, Illinois, where she was faithful in her church.  She and her sister, Ruby, took care of the altar table and altar surroundings.  She helped with the Vacation Bible School and was part of the church's Kitchen Crew.  She enjoyed playing bingo and watching stock car races.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Ms. Sisson retired as a candy packer from Hollywood Brand Candy Company in Centralia, Illinois after 50 years of service.  She has lived all of her life in Centralia, Illinois.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois with Pastor Mark Doane officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park near Centralia, Illinois.  Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Sisson's memory to Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Centralia, Illinois and will be received at the Moran Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia, Illinois.  Please view the online obituary, send condolences or share memories with Ms. Sisson's family at www.moranfuneralhome.net or on Facebook
