Alfred Endicott Jr. Obituary

Alfred L. Endicott Jr., 73, of Iuka passed away surrounded by his family and friends Monday, December 5, 2022, at OSF Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton. He was born on January 5, 1948, the son of Alfred Lee Sr. and Helen (Miller) Endicott.

Preceded in death by his grandparents; parents Alfred Lee Sr. and Helen Endicott; brothers Ernie Endicott, Terry Endicott Sr., and Randy Endicott Sr.; sisters Patricia Edwards, and Connie Land.

Survived by his wife Rebecca Endicott of Iuka; daughter Patricia Endicott and son-in-law Dusty Wimberly of Salem; and stepson David McCullum of Cuba, Missouri; grandsons Cole Wimberly, Christopher Linder, Tanner Wimberly, and Zach Endicott; siblings Dennis and Kim Endicott, Dale Endicott, Keith and Patty Endicott, Darlene and Shawn Griffin, Tina Warren-Johnson, Tracy and Paula Endicott, and Ricky Endicott; and many other step-grandchildren; and loved by his many nieces and nephews.

Alfred was a hard worker and a loyal employee of Henderson Trucking. He was an amazing cook, famous for his mouthwatering deer stroganoff and sweet and sour pork. Alfred enjoyed time spent in nature deer hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and appreciating the beauty and grandeur of the mountains. Alfred loved to play games with family and friends, especially a good game of chess with his grandsons. For 29 years he was a devoted husband who thought the world of his wife, Rebecca. He loved to shower her with attention, taking her out on dates and never missing an opportunity to show her his love. Alfred was the matriarch of his family, making every effort to bring everyone together to make treasured memories.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a future date. Memorials may be made in Alfred’s honor to the Family’s Wishes and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
